L’Hotel TorreMirona Golf & Spa of Nave it has established itself as a reference venue for hosting pre-season training sessions for top-level football clubs and this summer more teams than ever will be staying at its facilities. From the first of July until the beginning of September, RCD Espanyol will stay there, the Queens Park Rangers English, French sets like the Bordeaux Girondins and the Tolosa FCand also the women’s teams of the Birmingham City i l’Al-Ittihad FC. This unprecedented concentration of clubs in a short time will be possible thanks to the action that has taken place in the football field of the Empordà complex. The turf has been renewed, allowing the pitch to better adapt to the climate, require less water to sustain and withstand the demands of training more and better. Some of the teams that will settle in TorreMirona will take advantage of their stay to play friendly matches there. One of them is the one that will face RCD Espanyol and Girona FC, who will debut in the Champions League this season, behind closed doors on July 27 (11 a.m.).
The Girona team, coached by Míchel Sánchez, will not be the only time this summer they will let Navata down. On July 31, they will repeat the experience, but this time, their opponent will be Tolosa FC. The duel is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will also be without an audience.
