Olympique de Marseille is certainly having the most attractive transfer window in France this summer. The Marseille club already has some interesting recruits to its name, such as Lilian Brassier, Ismael Koné and Mason Greenwood. But not everything is rosy for OM, who are struggling to find a new goalkeeper on the transfer market. However, it is a totally unexpected name that could take its place in the Marseille club’s goal next season.
OM is looking for a new goalkeeper
OM has had success in the transfer market this summer. Even without a European Cup to play next season, the Marseille club has pulled off some big moves during this transfer window, such as signing Roberto De Zerbi as coach. The Italian coach already has an idea of the players he is counting on for the next season and has therefore set up a loft, made up of several executives, for the others.
Some like Pape Gueye, Vitinha, Illiman Ndiaye, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did not need to be put in this group of undesirables before packing their bags. If Jonathan Clauss will not be there either before his imminent departure to OGC Nice, Pau Lopez, however, is blocked by OM who still has not found his replacement.

An unexpected target to replace Pau Lopez?
Olympique de Marseille’s starting goalkeeper since Steve Mandanda’s departure, Pau Lopez is expected to leave the Canebière this summer. The Spanish goalkeeper has even already reached an agreement with Como and is just waiting for the green light, which also has an agreement with the Italian club. To compensate for his departure, the Marseille club has therefore set its sights on several goalkeepers including Alvaro Velles who seemed close to arriving in Marseille before withdrawing at the last minute, preferring to return to his training club, Betis Seville.

According to the French daily, the Marseille management is studying a secret lead for the goalkeeper position.
