The National Men’s Basketball Team will not participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia on July 6-7 due to the high number of injured players.
The statement made by the Turkish Basketball Federation included the following statements:
“The camp process, which we started the summer with a limited squad, continued with two more players getting injured in the double-contact match we played in France with an 11-person squad, following the recurring injuries experienced by our National Team. During this process, it was decided that our crescent-stars would not participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia in order not to risk the matches we will play away due to the insufficient squad.”
It was noted that the national team will continue its preparations for the FIBA 2025 European Basketball Championship Qualifiers in November.
In the two matches played as part of the preparation for the qualifiers, the Crescent-Stars defeated the Philippines 84-73 and lost to France 96-46.
