NBA’s Transfer Window: Tobias Harris to Detroit, Isaiah Hartenstein to Oklahoma City, and More Moves

The NBA’s “transfer window” continued on Monday with a number of moves, the most important of which was probably the move of Tobias Harris from Philadelphia (17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists) to Detroit for $52 million (€48.5 million) over two years. Another step in the reconstruction of the league’s weakest team after the hiring of coach JB Bickerstaff (ex-Cleveland), the trade having brought in Tim Hardaway Jr (Dallas) and the Draft of Ron Holland.

Among the other signings of the day, we note the expected arrival in Oklahoma City, whose recruitments are rare but very studied, of the German pivot Isaiah Hartenstein (7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds), a starter in the play-offs with New York. Even if the price seems substantial ($87 million, or €81.1 million, over 3 years) for a player who will play the same position as Chet Holmgren. Or those of Jalen Smith (9.9 points, 5.5 rebounds), interior who has a place to take in Chicago, where he will sign for $27 million (€25.2 million) over three years, and Delon Wright in Milwaukee ($3.3 million over 1 year).
