The Blue Box anime adaptation will hit Netflix in 2024.
Netflix announced that the anime adaptation of Kouji Miura’s sports/romance manga Blue Box is coming to the streaming service in 2024. Here’s everything we know so far!
Blue Box is a Japanese Netflix original anime, adaptation of the manga Ao no Hako by Kouji Miura. The series is animated by the studio Telecom Animation Film and written and directed by Yūichirō Yano. At the moment 15 volumes of the manga have been published in Japan, 9 in Italy (for Star Comics).
There is no official confirmation from Netflix as to when it will actually be released. Blue Box will be available on Netflix. The anime should be released this fallso we could see the episodes in simulcastIt’s not even clear how many episodes will air in the first season, but it’s more than likely that we’ll see between eleven and thirteen.
What is the plot of Blue Box?
Taiki Inomata, a third-year student at Eimei Academy Middle School, is a member of the school’s badminton team. He always gets up early to get to the gym first, but Chinatsu Kano, Taiki’s crush and first-year high school student, always beats him to it.
A beautiful rising star on the basketball team, Chinatsu is super popular. Taiki gets the chance to get closer to her when a strange twist of fate leads to her moving into his house. However, Taiki is first determined to be a worthy opponent for her and sets his sights on competing in the national badminton championships.
The cast: who voices the two protagonists?
Shouya Chiba plays Taiki Inomata. The voice actor is best known for his roles as Kiyotaka Ayanokouji in Classroom of the EliteShinei Nouzen in 86 by Kou Minamoto in After-School Hanako-kun. Queen Ueda plays Chinatsu Kano. The actress has voiced several popular characters, such as Reze from Chainsaw ManKaneo Tsuri in Demon SlayerHae-In Cho in Solo Leveling e Hide in Tokyo Ghoul.
