Authorities have announced 19 additional venues that will host sporting events for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The games will be held in Los Angeles, Carson and Long Beach, according to the Games Planning Committee (LA28).
Badminton will be played at the USC Athletic Center, home of the USC basketball and volleyball teams.

The convention centre, which was used as the main press centre at the 1984 Olympics, will host five Olympic sports in 2028, including fencing, judo, table tennis, taekwondo and wrestling.
The downtown Los Angeles Convention Center will host competitions in fencing, judo, table tennis, taekwondo and wrestling.

Judo and wrestling competitions were previously reserved for Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus.
Across the street, the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles will host a weightlifting competition. Across town, golf matches will be held at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The country club has also been used to host the annual PGA TOUR Championship in Los Angeles, and has previously hosted the U.S. Open, PGA Championship, U.S. Amateur Championship, U.S. Senior Open and NCAA Championship.
In Carson, the LA Galaxy’s home stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park, will host track and field events at the Velodrome, hockey at The Fields adjacent to the stadium, Rugby Sevens at the stadium and tennis at the Tennis Center.

The track is an official U.S. Olympic training site and serves as the home track for the U.S. Cycling Federation’s national track and field program. The stadiums, currently used as training camps for the LA Galaxy, will be converted into a temporary ice hockey venue. The Tennis Center houses the United States Tennis Association’s High Performance Training Center and has hosted several professional women’s tennis tournaments.
For the 1984 Olympics, Carson Speedway hosted track cycling events and has since been renovated.
The City of Long Beach will host kayaking events at the Marine Course and sailing events will take place on the waters along Belmont Beach. Water polo matches will be held at a temporary aquatic center on the Convention Center plaza, and marathon and triathlon swimming competitions will be held on the boardwalk along Alamitos Beach.

Long Beach previously hosted archery, fencing, sailing, and volleyball at the 1984 Olympics. Long Beach Marine Stadium also hosted rowing at the 1932 Olympics.
“The 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games will reflect all that the Los Angeles region has to offer, and with the designation of these venues, we are very proud to bring the Games to so many of our vibrant and diverse communities,” said Janet Evans, LA28 Chief Sport Officer.
“Los Angeles will host more Olympic sports than any other venue, and Carson and Long Beach, which have hosted competitions at previous Games, will host more competitions than ever before,” Evans added.
In accordance with the guidelines, LA28 will not use existing corporate or charitable names of stadiums and venues for playing purposes.
More space allocations in Los Angeles and elsewhere will be announced in the coming months, officials said.
In addition to diving, gymnastics and track and field, seven other Olympic sports will be held at venues along Figueroa Street between Exposition Park and downtown Los Angeles, according to the LA28 Planning Commission preparing for the Olympics.
