Journalist Fred Katz of the media The Athletic has confirmed that the New York Knicks have signed second-round rookie Tyler Kolek for the next four years and a total of $9.06 million, being the fourth optional year for the New York franchise.
Kolek, a Marquette University graduate, came to the Knicks on draft night in a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers (34th pick).
In the NCAA he played four seasons between George Mason and the aforementioned Marquette with averages of 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 31.4 minutes per game.
Along with the aforementioned Kolek, the Knicks also confirmed the signing of Frenchman Pâcome Dadiet, pick 25 of the 2024 Draft, and after paying compensation to his German club, Ratiopharm ULM, so that he can join immediately.
