NHL | Campbell will be the first woman on the NHL roster

Now Bylsma took the thirty-two-year-old Campbell with him, and the former Canadian representative broke another barrier in the NHL. As early as 2022, Emily Engelová-Natzke started working for the Washington team as a video coach, becoming the first woman in an assistant position in the league. Campbell was now the first to break through to the switchboard.

As a player, she won silver with Canada at the 2015 World Cup. In 2017, she ended her active career, except for a brief return with Malmö in the 2019/20 season, and became a coaching pioneer. In the summer of 2022, she was the first assistant coach in AHL history, having previously served in the same role at the men’s world championships in Tampere and Helsinki with the German national team, where she assisted Finnish coach Toni Söderholm.

He has already had a short experience on the Kraken bench. As an assistant coach, she completed one match in preparation last September. Along with Bylsma, they replaced head coach Dave Hakstol.
