Gerald Martens has announced his resignation as president of the Austrian Basketball Association (ÖBV). Other board members followed, and Upper Austria’s association president Karl Winkler, one of the vice presidents, will take over on an interim basis. Martens had been in office since March 2019.
In a letter, Martens cited what he considered to be some positive developments during his time in office, and the negative point being missing out on Olympic qualification in the 3×3.
