OL received an offer of €10 million from Reims for Mamadou Sarr

While the official announcement of Moussa Niakhaté’s recruitment should take place this Wednesday, or Thursday at the latest, Olympique Lyonnais could still see its defensive sector transformed. The Rhone club has indeed received an offer of €10 million from Reims for Mamadou Sarr, who is returning from a loan in the Belgian D1 at Molenbeek. The young and solid central defender (18 years old, 1.94m), also capable of playing defensive midfield, should nevertheless stay at Lyon, since Pierre Sage and the sporting decision-makers are banking heavily on him, and intend to give him playing time.

The player is currently preparing for the Euro U19, which he will play this summer with the French team (July 15 to 28). The doors are however wide open for Sinaly Diomandé and Dejan Lovren, who will leave. Jake O’Brien, who has many suitors and whose market value has exploded, could also be sold in the event of a big offer.
