Ousmane Diop Signs Multi-Year Deal with Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano

Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano announces that it has reached an agreement until the 2025/26 season included with Ousmane Diop, a 2.04 center born in Senegal in Rufisque on 19 February 2000, coming from Dinamo Sassari.

THE CARREER – Having arrived in Italy in Udine, Diop spent a year on loan at Virtus Feletto and made his debut in the A2 championship in the 2016/17 season. In 2018 he signed with Dinamo Sassari where he remained until the 2023/24 season. Over the course of these six years he also played on loan at Cagliari and Torino in A2. In 2018/19 he won the Fiba Europe Cup with Sassari (3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds on average). In 2021/22 he scored 6.0 points and grabbed 3.6 rebounds on average at Sassari in Serie A; in 2022/23 9.8 points and 5.1 rebounds (12.6 points and 6.3 rebounds in the playoffs); In 2023-24 he averaged 11.5 points (60.5% two-point shooting) and 5.2 rebounds per game (fifth overall in offensive rebounds). In the 2023-24 Fiba BCL he averaged 11.3 points per game with 3.8 rebounds.

NOTE – Ousmane Diop is Senegalese by nationality but Italian by basketball education. In 2023 he obtained his first call-up to the Senegalese national team.
