“Thank you, President Mattarella. Your presence, at the Olympic Village yesterday and today, here, at Casa Italia, honors the world of sport”. This is how the number 1 of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, greeted the Head of State who inaugurated Casa Italia, set up in Pre Catelan for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. “This – Malagò recalled – is an iconic place because here in 1894 Baron De Coubertin studied the regulation and toasted the modern Olympic Games”. Malagò cut the ribbon of Casa Italia together with President Mattarella’s daughter, Laura, and the Italian ambassador to Paris, Emanuela D’Alessandro.
