FC Bayern Munich, Rumor: PSG makes move for Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich’s future remains uncertain. Now Paris Saint-Germain, another top club, is apparently joining the poker game for the FC Bayern Munich midfielder.

As RMC Sport reports, the French capital club has renewed its interest in Kimmich after having already made an attempt to lure the 29-year-old from the Isar to the Seine in the last winter transfer window.

In contrast to then, however, this time Bayern are apparently ready to let Kimmich go. The international player’s contract expires in 2025, so the current summer is one of the last opportunities for the Munich team to collect a transfer fee.

According to consistent media reports, there are currently no signs of a contract extension for Kimmich. A stay at Säbener Straße is apparently only conceivable if the 29-year-old accepts a significant pay cut. As was recently reported, Bayern’s management wants to save at least 25 percent of the versatile midfielder’s salary. The signs point to a separation.

Kimmich himself is apparently considering a move to the English Premier League. There are said to be three interested parties there – Manchester City, Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC – to whom the international player could imagine a transfer.

Kimmich has been under contract with FC Bayern since 2015. Last season, he made 43 competitive appearances, scoring two goals and providing ten assists.
