Pichulo League team, champions of the seventh version of the baseball rally
EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- The Pichulo League took top honors at the closing of the seventh version of the children’s baseball rally, organized by the Little League Classic Foundation.
The Pichulo League team beat the Los Robles League 5-3, which had been winning the tournament for three years.
The children’s baseball tournament was played over five weekends and more than 400 players between the ages of 9 and 10 participated. It also took place in La Vega, Los Alcarrizos, Santo Domingo Este and Santiago.
Thirty-two teams participated in the tournament, which was supported by Gatorade, LogoMarca and Grupo VIVI, representing San Francisco de Macorís, Moca, Las Terrenas, San Juan, San Isidro, Villa Mella, Los Guaricanos, among others.
Integration
The winning team was made up of Edward Rodriguez, Carlos Thomas, Jeison de los Santos, Marcos Elias, Alexander Adames, Jairo Liriano, Dentel Silverio, Sebastian Rodriguez, Cesar Valdez and Diego Dante.
