Portugal-Slovenia: at what time and on which TV channel to watch the round of 16 of Euro 2024?

This is one of the most unbalanced round of 16 matches of this Euro 2024, behind perhaps Spain-Georgia. Portugal will start as the big favourites for their match against Slovenia on the pitch of the Frankfurt Arena, this Monday 1st July at 9pm.

The 2016 European champion faces a Slovenian team that is seriously lacking in experience at this level of the competition. This is their first round of 16 in history, and their second appearance in the final phase. Jan Oblak’s teammates qualified as the best 3rd in Group C with three draws and impressive defensive solidity (2 goals conceded).

Bad memories for Portugal

Opposite, Portugal validated their ticket very quickly after two victories against the Czech Republic (2-1) and Turkey (3-0) before being surprised in a match without interest for them against Georgia (2-0) during which Roberto Martinez had rotated.

But be careful, because Slovenia will bring back bad memories for the Seleção. The only direct confrontation between the two teams dates back to last March with a surprising 2-0 victory for the 57th nation in the world. The surprise is therefore still possible knowing that the meeting will determine the opponent in the quarter-finals of the winner of France-Belgium.

The Euro 2024 round of 16 match between Portugal and Slovenia kicks off this Monday at 9pm. The match will be broadcast on M6 and BeIN Sports 1, as well as live commentary on leparisien.fr.
