Presidents of Panama and Costa Rica address the situation of migrants

A bilateral meeting was held this Sunday by the President-elect José Raúl Mulino and the President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, in which They discussed issues related to the borders between both countries, the Paso Canoas integrated control center and migration issues.

The conversation between the leaders and the delegations that accompanied the leaders, focused on migration that affects both countries, expanding statistics on migrants and the humanitarian crisis they are experiencing, a common issue affecting Panama and Costa Rica.

For Panama, the delegation included the foreign minister Javier Martinez-Acha; Frank Abrego, Minister of Security; Vice Chancellor Carlos Ruiz-Hernandez; the vice minister of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation, Carlos Guevara Mann and Roger Mojica, general director of the National Immigration Service.

For Costa Rica, he accompanied the president, the chancellor Arnoldo André Tinoco and the ambassador Ingrid Picado.
