This is one of the most anticipated games of the MLS regular season. The two Los Angeles franchises will meet again this Friday at 4:30 am. They are both in great shape at the moment. The Los Angeles Galaxy is in 2nd place in the Western Conference. It has just won its last 4 games. To top it all off, Greg Vanney’s team is still undefeated at home (6 wins and 3 draws). It has the same number of points as the leader of its conference, which is none other than… Los Angeles FC! The latter is ahead thanks to goal difference and also has a day less. LAFC has also been unbeatable for many weeks. It has not lost for nearly 9 games in MLS. Steve Cherundolo’s men could, however, have a hard time stringing together a 3rd victory in a row in this regular season. Indeed, they have only had 3 wins in 9 away games. Not playing in their stadium for this Los Angeles FC derby, LAFC could therefore have a hard time reassuring itself. The Los Angeles Galaxy will try to take advantage of this to obtain at least a parity score.
