Puebla Delegation Shines at 2024 CONADE National Games with 125 Medals

The Puebla delegation completed its participation in the 2024 CONADE National Games, where it achieved its second best medal harvest with a total of 125 medals.

The last medalist for Puebla in the national competition was Zoé Atziri Ángel Romero in the 14-15 year-old individual youth category of table tennis, who won the Gold medal after defeating her opponent from Baja California in the grand final.

With the table tennis player’s gold medal, Puebla finished with 28 gold medals, 12 medals below the goal that had been set by the former director of the Puebla Sports Institute (INPODE), Yadira Lira Navarro, during the flag-raising of the Delegation.

Angelopolis also has 31 silver medals and 66 bronze medals.

At the moment, Puebla is in twentieth place in the overall medal table of the CONADE Nationals, however, sports such as water polo and rowing have yet to be held, where the entity does not have representation.

Swimming, athletics and trampoline gymnastics are the three sports that have given Puebla the most gold medals, followed by karate, taekwondo, judo, fencing, golf and table tennis:

Swimming: 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 11 Bronze
Athletics: 7 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze
Trampoline gymnastics: 4 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze
Karate: 3 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze
Taekwondo: 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze
Judo: 1 Gold, 1 Silver
Fencing: 1 gold and 2 bronze
Golf: 1 Gold
Table tennis: 1 Gold
Associated Wrestling: 4 silver and 14 bronze
Weightlifting: 4 silver and 14 bronze
Men’s artistic gymnastics: 1 silver and 2 bronze
Roller skates: 1 silver and 2 bronze
Sport climbing: 1 silver and 1 bronze
Archery: 1 silver and 1 bronze
Basketball: 1 silver
Box: 4 of bronze
Tennis: 2 bronze
Charrería, fronton and rugby 7: 1 bronze.

In 2014, when the competition was called the National Olympiad, Puebla achieved the best harvest of medals with 36 gold, 43 silver and 61 bronze for a total of 140 medals in total.
