Around a month after the round of 16 exit at the European Championships in Germany, Austria’s team manager Ralf Rangnick is already planning for the future. For the third time, the German is inviting people to the prospective player training course, which will take place in Lindabrunn from July 28th to 31st, to examine the ÖFB talents born between 2005 and 2008. 29 field players and four goalkeepers have been called up.

“We want to show the country’s greatest talents at the prospective player training course what is important in the national team, we want to encourage and challenge them so that they are as well prepared as possible for future tasks,” said Rangnick in an ÖFB press release on Tuesday. “Especially when we see that the playing time for young Austrian players in the Bundesliga and the 2nd league is continuously decreasing, we must place even more emphasis on the development of our talents so that they are as well prepared as possible for professional football.”
