The Badminton Club Ravachol Pontevedra confirmed the renewal of one of the key pieces for the first team, Jacobo Fernández, who will compete in the top national category for the fifth consecutive season.
Fernández will thus complete his fourth season with the Lereza team, where he has played 26 games so far and will presumably be one of the most important players in the men’s section.
The Ibero-American champion, still recovering from a shoulder operation that will keep him off the courts at the start of the league, is seen as an important and versatile player, who can perform both in his specialties (doubles events) and in singles.
Jacobo’s renewal adds to those of Gabriel Fernández, the English Georgina Bland and the French Leo Van Gysel, four key players for the Pontevedra team.
