This weekend a Regional Basketball Coaches Clinic was held in Tomelloso that had the stellar presence of Carles Durán, ACB League coach who for three seasons led Juventud de Badalona and Joan Albert Cuadrat, Director of Training of the Catalan Basketball Federation.
The clinic, organised by the Federation of Castilla-La Mancha and the Association of Coaches, had the collaboration of the Provincial Council, Regional Government and City Council. Technicians from various parts of the region attended and enjoyed the knowledge, wealth of experience and proximity of these magnificent technicians. As Esther Úbeda, one of the attendees, pointed out, “with very simple things, they work on many things. Carles Duran spoke to us about the structure of the game by concepts: building from 4 x 4 and Albert focused on the application of traditional games to basketball. Both presentations were very interesting.”
Saturday’s day was more practical with CBTomelloso players executing the exercises set by the coaches and Sunday’s part was more theoretical and dedicated to solving the numerous questions that the attendees asked, many of them related to grassroots basketball.
