Badminton, basketball, volleyball, athletics and football classes are the sports that children and young people can access during the winter holidays at the Municipal Sports Schools of the Mayor’s Office of El Alto. Registrations are received at the Municipal Stadium of Villa Ingenio.
“We have open sports classes in different disciplines, such as basketball, volleyball and others, so that our youth can play sports during vacations instead of staying at home or on their cell phones; they can come and play a sport,” said the head of municipal schools, Jhonatan Parisaca.
Registration is open to children from the age of five. Those interested can register on the second floor of the Municipal Stadium of Villa Ingenio, with a photocopy of the identity card of the child or young person, as well as that of the parents or legal guardian.
The sports facilities are strategically located in La Ceja, Río Seco, Satélite, Senkata and Kenko, in addition to the Ballivián and Milluni courts, located in districts 1, 2, 4, 6 and 9.
The municipal official explained that classes are free and run in two time slots: in the mornings, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and in the afternoons, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Parisaca reported that municipal schools began their activities in February and currently have more than 1,500 children and young people.
