Regulation Changes for the 2024/2025 Badminton Season – What You Need to Know

Badminton Denmark

The regulation changes for the coming season are ready. As usual, changes and adjustments will be made to various regulations for the new season based on, among other things, inquiries from clubs, players, circles, parts of the country and others. Get an overview of which regulations have changed here.

The regulations have gone through a process where, among other things, several parties have had the opportunity to comment and provide input, Badminton Denmark’s legal committee has reviewed them, and Badminton Denmark’s and DGI’s administration have also worked with them.

We hope that you will take the time to look through the updated regulations that are relevant to you. Then together we can start the new season with the same understanding of how we should play and the potential impact the changes could have on you, your players and your club.

We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to find the changes for the 2024/2025 season. When you open the regulations, the changes will be marked with ‘green colour’. That way, you don’t necessarily have to read the entire regulation through.

These regulations have so far been adjusted and changed in advance of the 2024/2025 season:

– Common regulations for the youth team tournament 2024-2025

– Team tournament regulations for badminton in Denmark (DH regulations)

– Regulations for Ranking 2024-2025

– Regulations for Individual Tournaments (2024-2025)

– Regulations for the Danish Championships for Youth Teams (DMU Team)

– Regulations for the DM for seniors

– Reglement for Grand Prix Circuit

You can also find the regulations by pressing Laws & regulations in the top menu.

In certain cases, it will be necessary to adjust a regulation during the season. This has always been the case, and going forward these changes will also be able to be followed in the regulations themselves, where changes during a season are marked with ‘blue colour’.

Both changes up to the start of the season and possibly significant changes during a season, we will in the future also communicate via e.g. emails to relevant recipients in BadmintonPlayer and possibly on our website if it is deemed to have broad relevance. That was precisely the case with the changes that suddenly occurred around the “spin serve” last season.

If you have any questions or comments, please write or call us at faq@badminton.dk and 70605076 when we are back from summer vacation in week 30.

We are looking forward to the new season.
