Released by Lyon, Jordan Taufua will join Nice in Pro D2

Jordan Taufua is no longer a LOU player. The management announced this Monday. The 32-year-old Samoan third row has been released from his last year of contract. Originally from New Zealand, Taufua, who played in the last World Cup in France, will sign for Nice, promoted to Pro D2, as indicated on our site on Friday.

He arrived in Lyon in 2021. An incredible leader, he had a complicated last season with only 11 appearances. “Jordan will have marked the history of LOU thanks to his leadership, his energy, his talent and the wonderful memories shared together. He will forever remain an ambassador of LOU Rugby,” reacted Yann Roubert, the club’s president.
