Doué is under contract with the western French club until 2026, which gives the club a good negotiating position. According to a report from L’Équipe, Rennes wants to earn a club-record amount from the sale of Doué – if a sale is agreed at all.
So far, Rennes has made the most money with the deal for Jérémy Doku 2023: The Belgian went to Manchester City for 66 million euros, so at least around 70 million euros would have to be put on the table for Doué.
According to the report, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal FC are particularly interested in Doué, in addition to Bayern. For the number ten position Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz was previously considered a dream player for Munichwhich, however, is likely to cost considerably more than Doué.
Borussia Dortmund has also been mentioned, but for the Black and Yellows, a transfer is probably beyond their financial means given Rennes’ high demands.
