Rolf Aldag (Red Bull-Bora) on the 4th place of Primoz Roglic on Tuesday: “A rather positive signal”

Rolf Aldag, sports director of Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe), after the Slovenian’s 4th place in Valloire, 35 seconds behind Tadej Pogacar: “I think the day went pretty well, we could have lost a lot, a lot more time. We’re OK with that. I think it’s a pretty positive signal today (Tuesday) after this stage. We’re here. Not with Pogacar, no one is, but with the others.

Among the other favourites, some were better at the end of the climb, others on the descent, others will be better on the white paths, on the time trials… As soon as you take a risk, you can expose yourself to a counter-attack. The goal was to follow, follow, follow, follow as much as possible. It was out of the question to take crazy risks and end up getting blown away. We are at stage 4, the Tour is still long… »
