The Euro 2024 round of 16 is coming to an end, but two results are still awaited. This Tuesday, at around 6pm, Romania faces the Netherlands, a few hours before the duel between Austria and Turkey. The Romanians, surprising first in Group E, thanks to their success against Ukraine (3-0), challenge a Dutch team looking for revenge and only third in Group D, behind Austria and France.
Ronald Koeman’s men have not shone since the start of the competition. After a solid initial victory against Poland (1-2), the Oranje delivered a totally insipid performance against France (0-0), before being surprised by Austria and Marcel Sabitzer in the last match (2-3). With four points, they were nevertheless saved among the best third-placed teams, and drew an affordable round of 16.

They should not, however, underestimate Romania and its attacking power. Despite a defeat against Belgium in their second match, the Romanians put on a tantalising game in Germany, to the point of thrashing Ukraine in the opening match (3-0).
