Less than a month to the First Run Archery Trophy organized by ASD Antikuis. The competition will take place on July 28th at the Monte Livata sports ring in Subiaco, in the province of Rome. The registration deadline is July 22nd and the competition program includes the gathering of competitors at 9:30 and the start of the sprint race at 10:15.
Run Archery is one of the novelties of archery and was in fact made official by World Archery Europe in 2019 and every year a European Cup competition is organized in Nove Mesto. This new discipline consists of alternating phases of running and archery with targets 18 meters away. The rules follow those of biathlon with penalty laps for each shooting error, the winner is the one who finishes the race in the shortest time possible. The Sprint is one of the two individual races together with the 4x1000m, there are then other types of competition dedicated to mixed teams and teams composed just like in traditional archery of three athletes. To date the only division not in competition is the compound one, while all the others are admitted with a certain predilection for the barebow, decidedly easier to carry than other bows.
Italy is one of the six nations that is carrying forward the novelty of Run Archery and the competition at the end of July organized in Lazio is a concrete example of this, in this regard it should be emphasized that registration for the competition is free.
