The athlete from the Badminton Club Xàtiva, Selenia Pla, has won two medals in the third round of the National Parabadminton Circuit, held last weekend in El Provencio (Castilla La Mancha). Pla, who participated in the singles, mixed doubles and inclusive doubles events, He won a silver and a bronze medal.

In inclusive doubles, the player from Setabense formed a pair with Miguel Ángel Polo (CB Drop Toledo) and they were runners-up.winning silver after losing the final to the pair formed by Beatriz Benavente and Manuel García, by 21-14 and 21-9. Pla and Polo started as top seeds and thus avoided the round of 16, reaching the quarterfinals, where they beat Ariadne Casanova and José Manuel De las Heras, by 21-15, 17-21 and 21-15. In the semifinals they beat Alicia Martínez and Pablo Serrano in a close match that was decided in the last rallies of each set, with a final result of 18-21, 21-19 and 21-19 in favor of Selenia and Miguel Ángel. With this victory they reached the final, in which they lost, thus winning silver.
In the individual test of the SL4-SU5-SH6 categoriesSelenia could not compete in the women’s category, due to the absence of other competitors, having to play in the men’s section, remaining Second place in group A and winning the bronze medalIn the SU5-SL4-SL3 doubles category, Selenia teamed up with Unai Fernández (CB Ciudad de Villalba) and was the only mixed pair that unfortunately was unable to win any of the matches despite coming close on two occasions. Selenia Pla competed in the third round of the National Parabadminton Circuit after participating in the Parabadminton Technification International Campus and Inclusive 2024which took place last week in the same town of El Provencio. The campus included seven training sessions that were led by the national managers of the para-badminton area, Dina Abouzeid and Daniel Sánchez, under the supervision of the national coordinator of para-badminton, Miguel Ángel Polo.
