Shaker Stuns Industries Desjardins du Kamouraska in High-Scoring Victory at Guillaume Leblanc Sports Complex

The ball travelled a lot at the Guillaume Leblanc Sports Complex stadium on Sunday evening, in a 12-6 victory for the Shaker over the standings leaders, the Industries Desjardins du Kamouraska.

It was a second victory in seven days for the Shaker against the leaders in the standings who have only two defeats since the start of the season.

The visitors, trailing 5-1 and 7-3, hit the ball squarely on several occasions. They notably have two circuits from Maxime Bourgelas (solo) and Émilien Plouffe, good for three points. This is the first time in a long time that a team has hit two long balls in the large Rimouski stadium.

Maxime Lévesque and Émile Maisonneuve each have two hits for the winners. The latter also has three RBIs.

Benjamin Roy records a 4th victory in as many decisions. He was the victim of both home runs and allowed six runs, five of which were earned. Alexis Roy, who entered the game with a 7-6 lead, gets a save, his third of the season.

Martin Bossé takes the loss. He pitched four innings giving up seven runs, five of which were earned.
