The Shaker seems to have the number of Industries Desjardins since the Rimouski troupe inflicted a second defeat in a week on the powerful Kamouraska team, this time by a score of 12 to 6, Sunday evening at the Guillaume-Leblanc stadium.

Baseball fans were expecting a pitching duel with Martin Bossé (Kam) and Benjamin Roy (Rim), but in the end it was the bats that resonated. The visitors first opened the scoring in the first inning on a single by Maxime Bourgelas and the locals responded on a passed ball. In the following inning, the Shaker opened the machine, giving themselves a 5-1 lead thanks to consecutive hits by Nicholas Lepage, Maxime Lévesque and Philippe Lavigne.

Kamouraska reduced the gap notably on a solo circuit from Maxime Bourgelas in the fourth inning, but once again Rimouski responded with productive singles from Émile Maisonneuve and Jean-Philippe-Marcoux-Tortillet.

With a score of 7-3, the game was far from over as the visitors reduced the gap again on a three-run cannon shot by Émilien Plouffe. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Shaker went on a five-run push that ended the hopes of Industries Desjardins.

The victory went to starter Benjamin Roy who worked for five innings allowing six runs on seven hits, including two home runs, and the loss went to Martin Bossé who gave up seven runs on six hits in four innings.

At bat for Rimouski, Émile Maisonneuve finished the evening with two hits and three RBIs. Maxime Lévesque also had a two-hit game. In the opposing camp, William Pichette had two hits, not to mention two long balls from Maxime Bourgelas and Émilien Plouffe.
