Strava, the leading digital community for active people with over 125 million athletes, is launching the Family Plan, a shared annual subscription plan in line with the Student Plan. Originally announced at the brand’s annual event, Camp Strava, the Family Plan offers a new inclusive subscription option for athletes to share with whomever they want (friends, family members, or training partners), as long as all members live in the same country and are not current subscribers.

Strava research shows that over half of athletes in the community say they are motivated by friends and family who exercise, and 77% feel more connected when they see the activities of friends and family on Strava. The new Family Plan is designed to harness this motivation by offering unlimited access to premium features that help athletes train, compete, and explore together digitally and in real life.

“The magic of Strava lies in the motivation found in our global community,” says Zipporah Allen, Chief Business Officer at Strava. “Our belief is that people keep people active, and the new Family Plan makes it even easier to have a fitness commitment together. It’s about more than just setting shared goals; it’s about embracing shared passions and celebrating collective progress.”

Each Family Plan member unlocks full access to a suite of powerful features available through subscription, including:

Goals: Set weekly goals to keep progressing, have fun, and hold each other accountable. Training Ideas: Easily understandable analysis of activity data to train and track progress. Group Challenges: Unlimited access to Group Challenges to strive for shared goals. Routes: Create, discover, and share routes to make it even easier to plan group trips and adventures.

Available in 32 countries, athletes can share a Family Plan with up to three other people as long as they are not current Strava subscribers and live in the same country. The annual Family Plan offers up to 50% savings on average compared to an individual annual subscription when shared between four people. It is priced at €89.99 in Spain.
