Success and Excitement at the Beursault 24-Hour Archery Challenge!

The sixth edition of the Beursault 24-hour challenge, organized by the 1st Archery Company of Eclaron, between Saturday, June 29 (3 p.m.) and Sunday, June 30 (3 p.m.), was a great success, despite some material damage on Saturday evening, during the storm. But the shooting was able to continue despite everything, the archery game being covered.

Eleven teams of three archers, mainly from the Paris region and Lorraine, were brought together for this challenge to shoot non-stop for twenty-four hours, a unique concept in France.

In total, 366 arrows were shot. In the recurve bow, where three teams were competing, Valentin Prunnot, Aurélien Royer and Michel Dal Borgo, all three from Neufchâteau, came out on top, with a total of 599 points. In the compound bow, eight teams were entered. The team composed of Cédric Baronat (Draveil Senart), Victor Manaia (Arcis-sur-Aube) and Céline Bercher (Draveil Senart) won with 1,021 points. The only Haut-Marne player in the running, Jean-Pierre Barras from Eclaron, came seventh, with his partners Montgomery Deny (Montry) and Jocelyne Chalté (Creutzwald) with 886 points.

A special prize was given to Angélique Robin (Sainte-Menehould) who made the 1,000th qualifying shot in the archery game since its inauguration in June 2018. Of all the archers in the challenge, fourteen achieved the qualification threshold for the Beursault French championships, which will take place on October 6 in Saint-Maximin (Oise).
