Successful Dan Exams in Heusweiler Produce 15 New Black Belt Holders in Saarland

On June 30, 2024, the Dan exams for the first half of 2024 took place in Heusweiler. Since the exams were held according to the new exam regulations, not all parts of the exam had to be completed on that one day. Some tasks were already asked on other days. Some candidates had already passed their exam. Others still had to take theory and/or kata.

The bottom line is that everyone passed their exams with flying colors, meaning that Saarland now has 15 new Dan holders.

Angelina Tiz has acquired the 1st Dan. Maximilian König, Denny Lallemand, Marc Pempe, Pascal Sutter, Patrick Tietze and Jochen Wagner have acquired the 2nd Dan. The 3rd Dan holders are now Wolfgang Barbian, Juliana Beck, Frank Dörr, Gunther Gellert, Fabian Lehmann, Marco Menzner, Jörg Paul and Matthias Tornes.

The examiners were Jörg Ruschel, Sauro Paoloni and Peter Gerlich.

As a special event on this day, the 4th Dan was awarded to Stephan Penth, current recreational sports representative of the SJB. Visibly moved, he received the certificate from Peter Gerlich as representative of the honorary council.

After the official part, the more relaxed part of the day began with barbecue food and refreshments.
