Holiday jobs in the Soest district: What you should pay attention to

The Ministry of Labor is now reminding people of the rules that apply to holiday jobs: children under 13 are not allowed to work. From the age of 13, lighter jobs such as delivering newspapers are permitted, provided their parents give their permission. Anyone aged 15 or over can work for up to four weeks a year – of course only during school holidays. In principle, young people are then allowed to work between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., for a maximum of 8 hours a day. There are exceptions for certain sectors, such as the catering industry. Here, young people are allowed to work until 10 p.m. at the latest.
