Swiatek and Rybakina advance to second round, Vondrousova disappoints

A quiet first day for the stars of the WTA circuit at Wimbledon this Tuesday. Elena Rybakina, world number 4, also ensured by getting rid of Elena Gabriela Ruse who had come out of the qualifications (6 – 3, 6 – 1). The champion of the London tournament in 2022 will meet Siegemund in the second round. The defending champion Marketa Vondrouvosa disappointed as she lost in two sets against the 83rd world Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (6 – 4, 6 – 2).
