The draw took place on Thursday, July 4 in Johannesburg, South Africa, conducted by Emerse Faé, coach of the defending champion Côte d’Ivoire and Marouane Chamakh, a former Moroccan international, representing the host country. The qualifiers are scheduled for the fall of 2024, unless CAF changes its plans, after postponing the final phase from the summer of 2025 to the following winter.
