The javelin thrower in Mūze-Sirma wins the 7th place in the Diamond League stage with the best result of the season / Article

The most successful for Mūze-Sirmaja was the last of five attempts, in which her thrown javelin flew 60.33 meters, achieving the best result of the season.

The winner was the Australian Mackenzie Little – the bronze medalist of the world championship threw the javelin 66.27 meters in the first attempt and remained out of reach of her competitors. European vice-champion Adriana Vilagoš of Serbia took second place with a result of 65.58 meters, while the top three was completed by US javelin thrower Maggie Malone-Hardin, who reached 62.99 meters.

Mūze-Sirmā had not competed in the competition since mid-June, when she won 8th place in the European Championship. Mūze-Sirmā was the first Latvian athlete to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games, which will begin in a week. Injuries prevented Mūze-Sirmaja from participating in the competition during the preparation phase after the European Championship, however, she is optimistic about the start of her career at the third Olympic Games.
