Miedema made 106 WSL appearances for Arsenal, during which she became the division’s all-time leading scorer with a total of 80 goals.

As a result, she scores an average of 0.74 goals per game – but she is much more than a goalscorer.

Another fantastic milestone the Dutch international could achieve is becoming the first player in the competition’s history to reach 100 goal involvements, with 70 shots and 30 assists.

What makes this feat even more remarkable is that she did it in just 83 games.

Overall, she has recorded 35 assists in the WSL, which ranks third highest in the all-time rankings for this category.

Additionally, she was also the fastest player to reach 50 goals in the WSL (50 games) and recorded the most consecutive games scoring against the same opponent, with seven consecutive matches against Reading.

The Dutch international also reached double figures against Reading, with 12 goals against the Royals, closely followed by her tally of nine against Liverpool.

inside out

Given her fantastic ability and numbers in supplying teammates, it would be unfair to suggest that Miedema is little more than a poacher inside the box.

Of his 80 league goals, 70 have come from inside the box – with an impressive 10 coming from distance.
