The Orlando Magic’s Summer League Roster: A Big Question Mark

A few days before the start of the various Summer Leagues, the franchises are gradually revealing their rosters for these famous summer leagues, and in particular for the Las Vegas Summer League, THE event of July (or almost). One of the first to have dropped the exclusive: the Magic, with a… big question.

The Magic were one of the nice surprises of the 2023-24 season, defeated in seven games by the Cavs in the first round of the Playoffs. Jamal Mohsley’s team is off for another round, and it starts – as usual – by playing a few games in relaxation in July. For Las Vegas, the Magic have just unveiled their group, and watch to see who is in it…

Anthony Black and Jett Howard, that’s for the cracks of the 2023 vintage. Tristan Da Silva, himself, will represent the 2024 draftees. But… Théo Maledon?!

In itself, why not, since the Frenchman has been running the NBA contract for quite a few months now. Logical then. Yes but… no, not logical, because you are not unaware that Théo Maledon is currently with the French Team, in full preparation for the Olympic Games. And that if he is not the ultimate favorite to be part of the final 12, it then seems strange (is it a spoiler?) to see his name written in black and white on a list for a competition that starts in a week…

Our best bloodhounds are on the case and have started making phone calls to get to the bottom of this story. Or maybe we’ll do what everyone else does and wait for news. But, possibly, this may already be part of the catalog of summer blunders.
