The death of 12-year-old Leonardo Manicuti is a tragedy with too many question marks still remaining. The child, in fact, died during the night between Sunday and Monday at the Spaziani hospital in Frosinone, after being admitted a few hours earlier for an illness following dinner. In the meantime, the Prosecutor’s Office has decided to open an investigation into the facts to clarify the reasons for his death.
The reconstruction of the tragedy
Leonardo Manicuti, a 12-year-old who died at the Frosinone hospital, was a resident of Anagni, not far from the capital of Ciociaria. According to initial information, the child fell ill on Sunday evening shortly after eating a pizza with his mother and father. The two, therefore, decided to take the child to the hospital, to investigate the reasons for the disorder. However, at the Frosinone health facility, the doctors, following the tests, did not find anything abnormal and decided to discharge the child. However, once he arrived home, Leonardo’s conditions continued to worsen, until, late at night, the parents decided to take their son back to the hospital.

However, once he returned to the health facility, there was nothing more that could be done for Leonardo Manicuti and the doctors could do nothing but confirm his death. In these hours, many are expressing closeness to the family of little Leonardo, who died in circumstances that are still unclear. The “Contrada parrocchiale Tufano Anagni”, writes on social media: “This morning our district woke up with a huge loss. The entire parish committee and their families gather with immense pain in a strong embrace of comfort around the family. You can’t die at 12 years old. Rest in peace little angel”. An autopsy will be performed on the 12-year-old’s body in the next few days to determine the cause of death.
