They are going for the digitalization of tortilla factories – El Sol de México

The National Tortilla Council (CNT) and Finsus signed an agreement to digitalize more than 18 thousand tortillerías in Mexico City.

Finsus developed an application so that these businesses can collect payments via CoDi, Dimo, SPEI and Contactless.

Carlos Mormalejo, CEO of Finsus, said that tortilla shop owners will also be able to invest from 100 pesos in the application, which, he said, contributes to the banking sector in the country.

In addition to selling tortillas, this alliance seeks to turn these businesses into convenience stores by offering other services such as recharging cell phones or paying electricity bills.

“We are going to empower tortilla factories to complement their activity with other services,” said Marmolejo.

Homero López, president of the CNT, considered this a “historic moment” since these businesses are added to the digitalization and banking of the country.
