The 39-year-old former pivot, assistant coach of the Brazilian national team, had a great career in the NBA, notably being champion in 2014 with the San Antonio Spurs alongside Tony Parker and Boris Diaw.

Having also played for the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers, he became a coach in 2018, notably becoming assistant coach of the Brooklyn Nets for four years in 2019, before joining the Houston Rockets, and occupying the same role in the staff of the Brazilian selection.

Conquering the Euroleague

He will have the difficult task of succeeding Tuomas Iisalo, who unilaterally terminated his contract to join the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA, where he will be head assistant coach.

Under the leadership of its Finnish coach, who arrived last summer, the young Parisian club had its best season, with a first title in the Leaders Cup followed by another in the Eurocup and a French championship final, lost against Monaco.
