Chosen in 6th position in the last Draft by the Hornets, Tidjane Salaün recently took some acclaimed first steps on the Summer League courts. In the process, Adrian Wojnarowski spoke about the French rookie.
Arriving in the NBA with such status and at such a young age can sometimes prove detrimental. Fortunately, Tidjane Salaün’s shoulders seem broad enough not to give in under this pressure. 6th pick in the last Draft, the young French winger played his first 14 minutes on Saturday under the Hornets’ colors in the Summer League. Adrian Wojnarowski : Salaun is an interesting player, the youngest in the last draft. He’s still raw but what the Hornets loved about him is the fact that he works hard, his workload and how much he loves to play. He’s going to be a project for them but when you look at his physique, you understand his potential. That’s why they chose him at No. 6 despite all the good players still available.
It is therefore a long-term vision that allowed the French U18 international to land in North Carolina according to Woj’. Good news for the competitor he represents, since LaMelo Ball and his teammates could create a surprise this season in the East according to the famous insider:
