Adrian Wojnarowski : Salaun is an interesting player, the youngest in the last draft. He’s still raw but what the Hornets loved about him is the fact that he works hard, his workload and how much he loves to play. He’s going to be a project for them but when you look at his physique, you understand his potential. That’s why they chose him at No. 6 despite all the good players still available.

It is therefore a long-term vision that allowed the French U18 international to land in North Carolina according to Woj’. Good news for the competitor he represents, since LaMelo Ball and his teammates could create a surprise this season in the East according to the famous insider:

Adrian Wojnarowski : The Hornets are in a position where I think they’re going to be competitive, and I think LaMelo Ball’s health is going to play a big part in that. They need him on the floor. That said, they can still take gambles like Salaun. (…) You can see in that some decisions and the potential of a good team over time in the NBA.

All that remains is to hope that our Frenchie will find his place in this environment.

Now a member of the Hornets, Tidjane Salaün should, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, attribute his arrival to the franchise to his work ethic and his passion for basketball. It remains to be seen whether this show of confidence will translate into his playing time this season.
