RC Vannes is refining its squad for its big discovery in the Top 14. The first Breton club in the history of the French rugby elite will count on the Englishman Mako Vunipola (33 years old) next season. The left pillar of New Zealand origin, who ended his international career, has signed for two years, announced RCV this Tuesday.
An iconic player for Saracens since 2011, Vunipola, with his 79 caps with the XV de la Rose, will bring his experience to the Vannes pack. He has notably won five English championships and three Champions Cups, as well as three Six Nations Tournaments with his selection.

For his first experience abroad, Mako Vunipola joins his brother Billy, a new Montpellier player, in the Top 14. One year younger, the third-row centre is part of the large colony of English players ready to discover France next season, like Owen Farrell (Racing 92), Kyle Sinckler (Toulon) or Courtney Lawes (Brive).
Promoted to the Top 14, Jean-Noรซl Spitzer’s RC Vannes already has some experienced reinforcements, such as Fabrice Metz (second row, ex-Pau), Francis Saili (center, ex-Racing 92) or Filipo Nakosi (winger, ex-Castres). Enough to snatch a historic survival in an ultra-competitive elite?
