Tour de France: the classification of the 6th stage with the victory of Groenewegen and the 7th place of Démare

Imperial Dylan Groenewegen. The Dutchman (Jayco-AlUla), who was chasing a stage victory since the start of this Tour de France, won in a strong way this Thursday during the 6th stage. He beat Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty) and Fernando Gaviria (Movistar), Jasper Philipsen having been demoted for a dangerous move towards Wout Van Aert. Arnaud Démare (Arkéa-B&B Hotels) finished 7th and first Frenchman. All the favorites were there, except Mark Cavendish, winner this Wednesday, who had to settle for 19th place.

The favourites have calmly managed this day and are obviously not at the forefront. However, they have not lost a single second since they have arrived in the peloton. They will wait for the time trial this Friday to fight.
