Trois-Rivières Aigles to Host Quebec Capitales in Exciting Weekend Baseball Series

The Trois-Rivières Aigles, who will try to win an important series in New York tonight, will be back home this weekend to welcome the Quebec Capitales, as well as visitors to the TR Expo.

Remember that the Eagles do not sell tickets for the three games, which means that baseball fans must purchase a day ticket for the TR Expo, partner for the weekend.

“We have a win-win agreement for the weekend with the Expo TR. Usually, a regular ticket costs $14 at the stadium, while for the weekend, the fan has access to the Expo TR for the modest sum of $3.40 extra,” explains the Aigles’ general manager, Jérôme Duchesneau. “It allows us to introduce baseball to the people at the Expo, and then the Expo to people who are baseball fans.”

“We’re expecting a good weekend with a lot of people, especially since it’s Quebec City that’s visiting us. It’s going to be a good time for some good baseball,” he added.

Indeed, the standings are very tight in the Eastern Division. The Capitales occupy second place with 30 wins, while the Eagles have 27, good for fourth place.

“We are satisfied with the start of the season, but we are always alert to see if we can improve the team. We have experienced a good turnaround compared to last season. We have a very good lineup,” added the general manager.

“The division is very tight with the top four clubs (New York, Quebec, Ottawa and Trois-Rivières), so there’s still a lot of baseball to play. We know we’re going to play a lot of home games (16) in August, so we want to stay in the race,” he concludes.
