The National Basketball Team will not participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia on July 6-7 due to the high number of injured players. The statement made by the Turkish Basketball Federation included the following statements: “The camp process where we started the summer with a limited roster continued with two more players being injured in the dual contact match we played in France with an 11-man squad following the recurring injuries experienced in our National Team. During this process, in order not to risk our Crescent-Stars in the matches we will play away due to the insufficient roster, it has been decided not to participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia.” It was noted that the national team will continue its preparations for the FIBA 2025 European Basketball Championship Qualifiers in November. The Crescent-Stars won the Philippines 84-73 in the 2 matches they played as part of the preparation for the qualifiers, and were defeated by France 96-46.
