Valencian Judo Shines in European Cup with Gold and Bronze Medals

Last weekend, Valencian judo once again achieved new successes in the international competition scene. Once again, the young promises of national judo are once again the stars.

The European Cup for the cadet category took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, where two new medals were confirmed, increasing the positive balance for judo in the Valencian Community.

Aiora Martín Carrinches once again gave signs of the brilliant season she is going through in 2024 by being proclaimed champion of the European Cup. The young athlete won the final of the -40 kg category after beating the French Mathilde Aurel. In the semi-finals she defeated the Turkish judoka Ceylin Coskun and in the quarter-finals the Italian Aurora Ferro.

For their part, the joy of the Valencians was even greater after Martina Obrador González’s bronze medal was confirmed after beating the Polish Hanna Zaitseva in the fight for third place in the -63 kg weight class.

A gold and a bronze medal that once again confirm the high level of women’s judo.
