15.10 Changing of the guard! Kevin Vauquelin (Arkea-B&B Hotels) clocks an excellent 29’45”, going very close to 51 km/h! The Frenchman leads the way.

15.08 There is a fight for first place. The last 1700 meters for Vauquelin, who has certainly gained on the uphill stretch. But on the flat stretches, on paper, there is no contest…

15.05 Stefan Kung (Groupama-FDJ), one of the group’s specialists, sets off.

15.03 And Vauquelin maintains a good lead: 23’58”, 23 seconds ahead of Bissegger at the third split time!

15.01 Meanwhile, Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) has also set off: the Dutchman is ninth after the first half-time.

14.59 Watch out because the transalpine is going like a train! Clearly first at the second half time, 19’04” for him with 30” on Bissegger!

14.58 Meanwhile Kevin Vaquelin (Arkea-B&B Hotels) is putting in a good performance: second fastest at the first split time, only three seconds behind the leader Stefan Bissegger.

14.56 Second time for Oier Lazkano (Movistar) who in 30’33” places himself behind Bissegger, overtaking his compatriot Garcia Pierna.

14.53 Meanwhile, the top 10 has changed, with Frenchman Thomas Gachignard (TotalEnergies) moving into tenth place.

14.51 Third time also at the last measurement for Oier Lazkano, 23” behind Bissegger: his first place does not appear to be in doubt.

14.49 Keep an eye on Alberto Bettiol’s (EF Education-Easypost) performance: departure set for 15.30.

14.46 Meanwhile, third fastest overall time at the second split time for Oier Lazkano (Movistar) in 19’52”.

14.45 Slow passage to the first half-time for Sobrero, thirty-third at 1’05” from the best time. He is not squeezing himself.

14.42 Small peculiarity: Remco Evenepoel, second in the general classification, will start wearing the white jersey of best young rider and not that of world champion in the specialty.

14.38 Second place for Raul Garcia Pierna (Arkea-B&B Hotels), who stopped the clock at 30’44”.

14.37 Remember that the departures of each runner are set every 90 seconds. From the tenth onwards however the difference between one runner and the other will be two minutes.

14.34 Michael Matthews (Jayco-AlUla) takes second place, doing 40” worse than Bissegger (30’47”).

14.33 We remind you that the Swiss will also be a protagonist at the Olympics in the time trial in Paris.

14.32 30’06” for Bissegger, who obviously takes the lead in the standings. First real reference of the race. In the meantime Matteo Sobrero (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) has set off.

14.00 Martinez’s arrival:

13.56 Lampaert second at the first intermediate.

13.53 Yves Lampaert has started, another rider skilled in time trials. It remains to be seen how much effort he will put in.

13.50 31.40,84 at the finish line for Martinez, excellent performance by the French rider from Groupama-FDJ at an average speed of 47.726 km/h.

13.46 Lenny Martinez continues his excellent performance, leading the second and third intermediates and taking the lead at the finish.

13.44 32.39,72 at an average speed of 46.292 km/h for Davide Ballerini who is currently in command at the finish line.

13.41 The test of Biniam Girmay who wears the Green Jersey has also begun.

13.38 Davide Ballerini is temporarily in third place, but the ranking is constantly evolving.

13.35 The French Lenny Martinez, disappointing so far, is working hard on the time trial and is leading at the second intermediate.
